Year 7 Boys' and Girls' Hockey Match

Year 7 Girls v BGR
The year 7 girls team showed real determination and good teamwork as they travelled to face our friends at BGR. Senna demonstrated great ball control, and attacked strongly early in the game, but the defenders were put to the test as BGR scored 3 goals.
Highlights included striker Amilie teaming up with Hephzibah to drive the ball into the goal, and Giada and Adol stopping many straight shots to the goal and clearing the ball to the sides. The game ended with a 3-1 loss. The MVP for BGE was Hephzibah.
Year 7 Boys v BGR
The year 7 boys raced into an early 2-0 lead against BGR; Samuel with both goals. We were looking solid, and although BGR did play their way back into the game, we were happy to be leading 3-2 at half time.
Into the second half, and with good work from Jesse and Samuel we stretched our lead to 4-2. However, the men in yellow had started to tire, and goalkeeper Ethan was being called into action regularly. BGR pulled one back, and then with 5 minutes to go they snatched an equaliser as the game ended in a fair 4-4 draw. Man of the Match for BGR was Ethan, with an excellent performance in goal.
