Mother Tongue Day

BGE celebrated 'Mother Tongue Day' with a number of activities. Students dressed in the colours of the flag of their countries to raise money for charity. In Language lessons (supported by visual art) they wrote messages in their 'mother tongue' on pieces of wood which we hung outside art and Languages like a curtain of words.
Students coloured birds; the logo of mother tongue day, with the flags of their origin countries, and the birds were displayed on one of the trees outside school.
