Playing with water is not only fun but educational as well. Movements such as pouring, dumping, filling, dunking, splashing, mixing, squirting, squishing and squeezing are great ways to develop physical skills. Children become fully engaged in the activity and spend long periods of time exploring and playing with water hence, increasing their concentration. Other benefits include conflict and problem-solving skills, social skills, creativity, relief of tension, language and vocabulary, maths skills, science concepts. Therefore the more they engage in water play the more they gain!
